2026-2027 Dance Season

There are many fun opportunities available for our company members. Including…

  • Competing in 3 regional dance competitions

  • Participating in World Dance Championships held in July (if dances qualify at Regionals)

  • Participation in dance conventions

    • Dance conventions are a group of workshop classes taught by multiple instructors from around the globe over a few days. Scholarships and performance opportunities are offered and won through these events.

  • The opportunity to compete in a solo, duet, or trio number

  • Company only classes are offered during our summer and fall sessions

  • Become a teacher’s assistant

  • Participation in our teaching apprentice program (learn and train to become a dance teacher)

  • You can register for auditions by visiting our store in your Dance Studio Pro portal and selecting the 2026 Auditions item.

Dance Company Descriptions

We have multiple dance companies for the 2026/2027 dance season that are broken down based on grade level, skill, and style.


Mini mover Company

Style: Jazz

Grade Levels: 3-6 with proper skill level

Performs: 1 Jazz Routine

In Season Requirements: One weekly ballet class + Mini Mover Class

Summer Requirements: Beginner Jumps, Leaps, and Turns & Beginner Ballet (If dancers unable to attend the 4-week summer session, dancers may complete one-week technique camp to fulfill summer team requirements. Please contact the studio for this accommodation.)

Summer Suggested Classes: Beginner Lyrical, Beg/Intermediate Acro


Junior Prep Company

Style: Jazz & Lyrical

Grade Levels: 5-7 with proper skill level

Performs: 1 Jazz Routine and 1 Lyrical/Contemporary Routine

In Season Requirements: One weekly ballet class, Junior Prep Lyrical Class, and Junior Prep Company Class

Summer Requirements: Advanced Beginner Jumps, Leaps, and Turns & Advanced Beginner Ballet (If dancers unable to attend the 4-week summer session, dancers may complete one-week technique camp to fulfill summer team requirements. Please contact the studio for this accommodation.)

Summer Suggested Classes: Beginner Lyrical, Beg/Intermediate Acro


Junior Company

Style: Jazz & Lyrical

Grade Levels: 6-9

Dances: 1 Jazz Routine and 1 Lyrical/Contemporary Routine

Style: Jazz, Lyrical, & Contemporary

Grade Levels: 9-12 with proper skill level

Dances: 1 Jazz Routine, 1 Lyrical Routine, & 1 Contemporary Routine

In Season Requirements: 2 weekly ballet classes, Senior Lyrical Class, & Senior Company Class

Summer Requirements: Advanced Jumps, Leaps and Turns Summer & Advanced Ballet

Summer Suggested Classes: Pre-Pointe


Audition Information

Date & Time

Auditions will take place on Saturday June 13th, 2026

Dancers must sign up for a 10 minute time slot between 9:30 am-1 pm when they attend the mandatory Dance Clinic (see below)

Mini-Mover Audition prep classes

There are 2 audition preparation classes for the Mini-Movers team. They are highly encouraged for current and prospective Mini-Movers. They will be held on:

  • Cost is $20/dancer per class


clinics

Clinics will take place on Monday & Tuesday, June 8 & 9, 2026

  • Dancers will learn essential audition skills and choreography

  • Attendance is required both days

  • Current company members should attend the workshop for the team they are currently on. Based on scoring and performance, dancers may be placed on a higher level team.

  • There is a $45 clinic/audition fee per dancer

  • Clinic Times

    • Mini-Movers 5:00-6:00 pm (both days)

    • Senior Company (lyrical & jazz) 7:00 - 9:00 pm (both days)


workshops

Workshops will take place on August 29 and 30, 2026

  • Dancers will learn choreography & season essentials

  • There is an $100 workshop fee per dancer ($75 for Mini Movers)

  • Attendance is mandatory

  • Exact times per company are TBD


requirements

  • All company members are required to have a Turning Pointe jacket ($80) and leotard ($50.00) along with their own pair of plain black leggings for each performance event.

  • All company members are required to have a pair of black and a pair of tan oxford slip-on Jazz shoes.

  • All lyrical company members are required to have a pair of canvas pirouette half sole shoes in light suntan

ADDITIONAL COMPANY OPPORTUNITIES (OPTIONAL)

  • Participation in the world dance championship (July) for any dance that qualifies

  • Participation in multiple dance conventions

  • Assistant teaching opportunities which can lead into the teaching apprentice program.


Competition Information

fees

  • Company Dances: $60-$90 per dancer/routine

  • Trio Dances: $75-$95 per dancer/routine

  • Duet Dances: $75-$115 per dancer/routine

  • Solo Dances: $150-$215 per dancer/routine

  • Competition weekends are scheduled by November 1st


Solos, Duets, & Trios

general information

  • Second year+ company dancers can elect to compete with a solo, duet, and/or trio of their choice

  • Dancers get to pick their own music (teachers will cut & edit as needed)

  • Dancers get to select their own costumes. They can choose to re-use an old costume, borrow one from the studio, or purchase a new one on their own.

  • Dancers can request what teachers they want to work with & have them choreograph their routine (no guarantee for ideal instructor choice)

  • Dances must be completed by September 1st and regular monthly rehearsals must be scheduled with an instructor after that

  • These dances will ONLY be performed at competition, and will NOT be performed in the end of year showcase.


pricing

  • Choreography Fee of $200 per solo/duet/trio

  • 30 minute rehearsals are $45.00 each for solos

  • 45 minute rehearsals are $55.00 each duets/trios

  • 60 minute rehearsals are $70.00/each for solos/duets/trios

  • DUETS/TRIOS: (the fees are split between either 2 or 3 dancers).

  • Number of choreography rehearsals needed are based on the choreography retention and performance of the dancer(s)

  • Competition fees run $125-$200/each per competition

  • Dancers can compete at any competition their Company group dances are attending.


In Season requirements

  • At least one 30-60 minute rehearsal per month through final registered competition

  • Additional rehearsals may be necessary if the instructor thinks the dancer(s) is/are not ready to compete.

Solos, Duets & Trios require a lot of self-practice outside of the studio. If a dancer (or group) is not fully committed, the instructor has the final say as to whether or not the number/s are ready for competition.
