Dance Class Descriptions

*Dress Code Included*

Ballet/Tap/Jazz (BTJ) & Ballet/Tap/Acrobatics (BTA) are both combination classes, for ages 3-6, that teach the fundamentals of Ballet, Tap, Acrobatics and Jazz styles of dance.  By scratching the surface of multiple styles of dance we are able to offer more to our students at a young age.  This also allows the student to get a taste of dance and decide what style they enjoy most without getting bored. This combination class is directed in a creative and fun environment which allows each student the proper attention to ensure they are being trained with the correct placement and technique. This class also provides an active environment for the children to build and grow their social skills.

Ballet is the foundation for all dance styles, focusing on alignment, posture, and the precision of each movement. The foundation of dance starts with ballet, building technique with ease and grace of each movement with both barre and center work, as well as progressing skills across the floor. This class will not only build proper technique, but will instill the discipline that dance requires for success.

Jazz incorporates the technique of ballet, while increasing the movement vocabulary by adding isolations and quicker total body movements. Jazz ranges from classical Broadway to the latest upbeat music and movement styles. This class will also increase flexibility and build self confidence by performing a high energy routine that requires the confidence to be noticed.

Character Jazz is a basic style of jazz technique combined with huge personality. A musical theater style class that focuses on performance quality and stage presence. All levels are welcome.

This class will increase flexibility and coordination by challenging the pace at which your body can move.  This class will build personality through movement that requires a little attitude.
